One Cool Neighborhood
To continue the thread of my 2 previous posts, my photographer and web designer are located only 3 blocks from each other in time-worn red brick buildings in an historic brewery district that dating back a hundred years. At the turn of both the previous century and the current century, the neighborhood is a pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps type of place.
Half the fun of interacting with these two professionals is the eclectic neighborhood surrounding their studios. I can’t help but chuckle at the hens strutting in and out of their coops, while half-block away towers a restored 1897 mansion, replete with gables and stained glass. Just around the corner, a classic red & white 1970 Olds 442 muscle car shines, repeat SHINES, in the dappled sunlight. A retro-yet-cutting-edge neighborhood that combines the time-tested and the innovative.
Every author requires help in reaching out to his/her readers. To receive that help from businesses with a buoyant, collaborative spirit is a breath of fresh air in today’s impersonal world.
